Sample Engraving Program
Step 1:
Initial Shipping
Your company will need to ship us 2 wheels:
- 1 for use in setup and layout (to develop the engraving job file)*
- 1 for use in laser engraving (this will be your "showpiece")
- Return label(s) required
The wheels should meet the following specifications:
- Aluminum (Chrome polished steel wheels take longer to process. In order to reduce the likelihood of backups, we are only accepting aluminum wheels under this program)
- Any finish (polished, unpolished, anodized, or powder coated)
- 20" or larger
- We can process wheels as small as 14" in diameter, but for purposes of showcasing the engraving in a deep offset, we are only focusing on 20" and larger under this program.
- Any lug pattern
- Offset to provide a minimum 3" lip (the bigger the offset, the bigger the "wow factor")
*A sacrificial "setup wheel" is required for engraving file development.
*The purpose of the "setup wheel" is to serve as a visual check that the engraving file has been set up correctly.
*You will have the option to have the setup wheel scrapped at our facility.
*However, if your company is potentially going to move forward with adopting laser engraving wheels, that setup wheel will be very a valuable tool in the development of your own program files.
*For this reason, we encourage both wheels be returned.
Step 2:
Engraving
Once we have received both wheels, one wheel will be used to verify the layout (example shown).
Once layout has been complete, the file will be complete, then we will run the program on the second wheel. At this point.
The default design used in the sample engraving will be your company's own logo or branding, set in two locations on opposite sides of the wheel.
One logo will be surface marked (minimal depth, looks great with anodized, or powder coated wheels) and the other will be engraved deeper into the material.
- We can accommodate more "involved" designs under this program, as long as you already have a design that you would like us to engrave instead of your company's logo/branding.
- Such requests will be handled on a case by case basis.
Timelapse video of your "showpiece" wheel being engraved will also be provided.
Step 3:
Return Shipping
Once processing is complete, your wheels will be shipped back to your facility*, in the original packaging.
*Return label required.

Once you have received your sample wheels back at your facility, if you wish to move forward with the purchase of our Wheel Engraving Laser Workstations, we will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have, or process your purchase order!
